How to get there?


By car: to
reach Tignes, take the A430 highway to Chambéry-Albertville, then
the dual carriageway to Moutiers. Then take the N90 to
Bourg-Saint-Maurice, and finally the D902 to Tignes.


Warning:In
winter, the Petit Saint-Bernard and Iseran passes are closed. Despite
what your GPS may show you, it is not possible to use these passes!


By train: Tignes
is one of the best served resorts by train in the French Alps, with
direct rail links from Paris, London, Brussels and Amsterdam as well
as Grenoble and Lyon. The nearest train station is Bourg St Maurice,
which is about 40 minutes away by bus or taxi. From Paris, the high
speed train (TGV) takes you to Tignes in only 4 hours.





By plane: There are 4 airports close to Tignes, so you can get here in less than 2.5 hours. These are Lyon-Saint Exupéry
airport, Geneva international airport, Chambéry airport and Grenoble
airport.

When should I come?


In
winter and summer the resort offers a wide range of accommodation and
activities
. Everything depends on the atmosphere you are looking for!
In any case, the ski season starts early, from the end of autumn. For
those who want to enjoy a mountain holiday in summer, Tignes offers a
variety of summer activities: hiking, water sports in the various
activity centres, hang-gliding and other air sports... The choice is
endless!

Good to know


To
ensure that your lungs are filled with the fresh mountain air, Tignes
requires you to leave your car in the car park (paid in winter, free
in summer). The resort is equipped with shuttles that let you move
freely around the resort.
